Frequently Asked Questions
Find quick answers to the most common questions about our Microsoft 365 solutions.
What is Microsoft 365
Microsoft 365 is a cloud-based suite of productivity and collaboration tools that helps you work smarter and more securely. It includes trusted apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, plus powerful cloud services such as OneDrive, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.
With Microsoft 365, you can:
Work anywhere – access your files and apps from any device.
Collaborate in real time – co-author documents, chat, and meet online with Teams.
Stay secure – benefit from built-in enterprise-grade security and automatic updates.
Scale easily – add or remove users as your business grows.
In short, Microsoft 365 brings together everything your team needs to be productive, connected, and protected – all for one simple monthly subscription.
What is difference between Teams and No Teams license?
A Microsoft 365 license with Teams gives you the full collaboration experience — chat, video calls, online meetings, file sharing, and seamless teamwork all in one place. For most businesses, Teams is the hub that keeps staff connected and productive, whether working in the office or remotely.
A license without Teams still includes the core Microsoft 365 apps (Word, Excel, Outlook, and OneDrive), but you miss out on the powerful communication and collaboration features of Teams. This option may suit businesses that already rely on another platform for messaging and meetings, but most find the added value of Teams well worth it.
Should I choose an annual or monthly Microsoft 365 subscription?
It depends on your business needs. A monthly subscription offers maximum flexibility — you can add or remove users, cancel anytime, and take advantage of the 7-day grace period for refunds on new purchases. An annual subscription usually comes with a lower overall cost and is ideal if you’re committed to using Microsoft 365 long-term, but note that refunds are not available after the 7-day grace period.
Tip: Many businesses start with a monthly plan and switch to annual once they’re confident in their needs – this way, you get both flexibility and savings.
Can I upgrade my Microsoft 365 plan?
Yes! With HostingRoo, you can upgrade your Microsoft 365 plan at any time to suit your business needs. Upgrading gives you access to more apps, storage, or advanced features.
Changes take effect immediately or at the next billing cycle depending on your plan, and our support team can guide you to make the transition smooth and hassle-free.
I forgot to renew my Microsoft 365 license. Can I restore it later?
Yes! If your Microsoft 365 license expires, you can usually restore it within a limited period by renewing your subscription. Any files stored in OneDrive or SharePoint are typically retained for a short time after expiration, so renewing quickly helps prevent data loss.
If too much time passes, some data may be permanently deleted, so it’s best to contact HostingRoo support as soon as possible to restore your license and access your account.
What is your refund policy for Microsoft 365?
Microsoft 365 is sold as a subscription service. Once your license has been activated it normally can’t be refunded, however HostingRoo provides a 7-day grace period on new Microsoft 365 purchases. If you change your mind within the first 7 days, contact our support team and we’ll arrange a cancellation and refund.
After this grace period, refunds are not available — but you can cancel your subscription at any time to stop it renewing at the next billing cycle. This way, you’re never locked in longer than you need to be.
Tip: If you’re unsure, start with a monthly plan for maximum flexibility.
