How much credit can I get when I switch?
We’ll credit you for the unused portion of your current hosting plan, up to the total value of the HostingRoo plan and payment period you choose. The maximum credit period is 12 months.
Can I use the 'From Old Host to Roo' Program on any HostingRoo package?
Almost! The ‘From Old Host to Roo’ Program applies to all our shared web hosting and wordpress hosting plans. (does not apply to Dedicated Server plans)
How do I claim my credit?
It’s simple:
Sign up for your chosen HostingRoo shared hosting plan (be sure to select bank transfer at checkout so you’re not charged upfront).
Open a ticket in your new HostingRoo client area and upload proof of your current hosting payment, showing the remaining prepaid time and the domain on the account.
We’ll calculate your credit and apply it to your first HostingRoo invoice.
What documents do I need to prove my current hosting credit?
To calculate your eligible credit, we usually need:
A copy of your invoice or receipt from your current hosting provider showing:
The billing period (e.g., 12 months)
The amount you paid
The start date and any remaining time on your current hosting plan
The website address (domain name) associated with the hosting service
Is this also for Domain names?
No, as a domain name will be transferred to us with the remaining time still attached, so transferring to us does not lose any time.
